How the work runs

Built Around an Open Unit

Behavioral health renovations require careful planning, controlled execution, and minimal disruption. Our experienced crews work safely in occupied facilities, coordinating every phase to keep patient areas protected, operational, and on schedule.

From demolition and framing to finishes and final details, we build around the facility—not the other way around.

How We Come Into a Project

Next to patients

Working Next to Occupied Units

We prioritize patient safety, staff protection, and uninterrupted operations throughout every phase of construction. With temporary barriers, dust control, and carefully planned work areas, we keep occupied healthcare facilities safe, clean, and operational.

  1. Temporary barriers

Temporary barriers between the work area and occupied spaces

  2. Dust control

Dust control and negative air pressure where the scope requires it

  3. Protected circulation

A defined, protected route for staff and patients

  4. Separate material paths

Material and debris routes that stay out of occupied corridors

  5. Daily cleanup

Daily cleanup so the area is left safe and clean at the end of every shift

Questions general contractors ask

Do you self-perform, or do you subcontract the trades out?

We self-perform six interior service categories with our own crews: framing and drywall, acoustic ceilings, flooring and tile, doors and hardware, wall protection, and painting and finishes. Our field workforce of 70+ works under experienced foremen and field superintendents.

Can the units stay occupied while you work?

Yes. That is the normal condition on these projects, not the exception. We break the scope into phases the facility can support, install barriers and protected routes before demolition begins, and agree on the phase plan with facility operations before mobilization.

Where do you work?

In all 50 states. Our office is located at 2434 E Dempster St, Unit 210, Des Plaines, Illinois, and our crews travel to each project from there.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. We are fully licensed and insured and hold Cook County GC License #067013. Licensing requirements vary by state and project, so tell us where your project is located and we will confirm the requirements before we bid.

What size projects do you take on?

Our largest completed project to date is Haverhill Pavilion Behavioral Health in Haverhill, Massachusetts: approximately 40,000 square feet of interior remodeling and renovation valued at around $2M.

How early can you be involved?

The earlier, the better. Joining during preconstruction is ideal, especially when phasing is still being decided. When the phase plan is settled during the bid, the resulting schedule is one everyone can rely on.
